Gala 2010 / Evento 2010

This past Saturday we held our annual fundraising event at the historic Bacharach Marketplace above the Cheese Cave in Faribault. Everything about the Gala this year was a success: Live music including a viola in the lobby, and folk music by Doug Madow and Mike Hildebrandt during the event, a sold-out silent auction that raised thousands of dollars for clinic services, and cheese, desserts, coffee, panes, and empanadas thanks to the Cheese Cave, the Sweet Spot, and Eskina Mercado. Numbers are coming soon but thanks to all of YOU who contributed your time, money, and ideas to make this year's Gala a success on so many levels. Thanks to YOU for helping to maintain our DOORS OPEN; thanks to YOU for helping someone get a PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION that they couldn't otherwise afford; thanks to YOU for giving the OPPORTUNITY and SUPPLIES to a DIABETIC person in need; thanks to YOU for providing an important ACCESS POINT to our neighbors who are having trouble getting the appropriate health care they need. This is YOUR CLINIC so THANK YOU!

I want to pass on a special thanks to the Gala Committee, Carleton and St. Olaf Gala Volunteers, and all of YOU who donated to the auction and food for making the Gala come together. It was so much fun!


Este sábado pasado hicimos nuestro evento anual para solicitar fondos en el famoso Bacharach Marketplace arriba del Cheese Cave en Faribault. Todo sobre el evento fue un éxito: música en vivo insluso un violín en la entrada, música folk por Doug Madow and Mike Hildebrandt durante el evento, una subasta vendida que genero miles de dólares para nuestros servicios, el queso, los postres, el café, los panes, y las empanadas gracias al Cheese Cave, el Sweet Spot, el La Eskina Mercado. Pronto vamos tener los números exactos pero gracias a todos UDS. que contribuyeron su tiempo, dinero, e ideas para hacer el evento tan exitoso en muchas maneras. Gracias a TI por ayudarnos mantener las PUERTAS ABIERTAS en la clínica; gracias a TI por ayudar un paciente encontrar MEDICAMENTOS que no necesariamente hubiera tenido; gracias a TI por dar la OPORTUNIDAD y el EQUIPO a un paciente con DIABETES con necesidad; gracias a TI por dar un PUNTO DE ACCESO a nuestros vecinos con dificultades accediendo el cuidado médico necesario. ¡La CLINICA ES TUYA así que GRACIAS!

Quiero agradecer especialmente al Comité del Evento, los voluntarios de Carleton y St. Olaf, y todos UDS. que donaron a la subasta, la comida, y que ayudaron hacer el evento un éxito total. ¡Estuvo muy divertido!
